Look for our new packaging on shelf!

Twice I’ve purchased these

Twice I’ve purchased these Pumpkin-n-spice bars at Walmart in Jamestown, NY, and both times they were rancid. Both boxes were purchased before the expiration date, the latest one purchased in January 2012 with an exp date of May 2012. I returned the first box for a refund, but I can’t return the second box because I already put the bars in my pantry and threw away the box they came in. I can’t believe I’ve had such bad luck, months apart, with this flavor. Your maple pecan bars are great, but I’m never going to try the pumpkin bars again. I see that others like these bars. I wonder what the cause of the rancidity is? Maybe they weren’t kept at the proper temperature for a long period of time during shipment or storage.  Chibitika

I have heard so many good

I have heard so many good things about your pumpkin and spice granola bars.  Two of my kids and my husband love them.  One of my sons and I are gluten free so we cannot eat them.  I was wondering if you could make these same bars but make them gluten free (with oats that are certified to be gluten free).  Just an idea for us gluten free people.  My son and I eat your EnviroKids Crispy Rice Bars and really like them, but, to be honest we are tired of them.  It would be nice to have some really good granola bars to eat also.  I would love to have a little more variety when it comes to healthy grab and go bars.   I would be very appreciative and I know the gluten free community would be grateful too.  Thank you very much. Paula

Hi Paula and thanks for

Hi Paula and thanks for sharing your comments with us. We’re glad to hear there’s good news circulating about our granola bars— I love them too and keep a box in my car at all times! As you may already know, at this time in North America most oats aren’t acceptable in a gluten free diet and organic gluten free oats aren’t available in the quantities required for our products. Still, we are aware of the demand for gluten-free oats so I’ve told our Research and Development team about your request. All the best, Justine, Nature’s Path Team

I have been eating these,

I have been eating these, even though I have a gluten allergy, and haven’t had a problem. They are delicious!

Hi Megan and thanks for

Hi Megan and thanks for sharing your comments with us! We’re glad to hear these haven’t bothered you considering you have a gluten allergy and I hope you continue to have this luck in the future. I’d like to share with you some info on this: Our granola bars are not gluten free due to the oats. It seems that the protein in oats does not do damage, but the concern is the possibility of cross contamination from wheat, rye or barley in the field or during the milling process. Therefore, at this time in North America most oats are not acceptable in a gluten free diet. In your case, you might be lucky enough to be consuming some non-contaminated oats, however understandably we can’t promise this and that’s why they’re not guaranteed gluten-free. If you’re looking for gluten-free snacks, try our gluten-free EnviroKidz crispy rice bars (my ultimate favorite is our Lemur Peanut Choco Drizzle Crispy Rice Bars—I eat one everyday at my desk!) Happy munching, Justine, Nature’s Path Team.

I have taken a pumpkin bar to

I have taken a pumpkin bar to school everyday since the beginning of the school year. I like the taste, but find it hard to remove the bar from the wrapper. Once I use the scissors to get the product out I wipe the scissors down, eat the bar and then of course have to wash the hands so I can use the keyboard.

Hi Bobbie and thanks for

Hi Bobbie and thanks for sharing you input. We’re sorry to hear you’re having this experience. I find my granola bars get extra sticky if stored in a warm room or even in my car when its sunny. Maybe that is the problem? Regardless, I’ll tell the Brand Manager of your concerns. To make this better, please contact Nicolettte, Consumer Services, using our contact form here: http://www.naturespath.com/contact-us. All the best, Justine, Nature’s Path Team

Just tried the pumpkin spice

Just tried the pumpkin spice flax bars and give them an A+ for flavor. But they’re so sticky that I wasn’t able to peel away the wrapper. I ended up using a plastic knife to scrape off the parts of the bar that were stuck to the inside of the wrapper, and had to wash my sticky hands afterward. Not a huge deal, but I think granola bars should be a grab-and-go item!

Hi Sarah and thanks for

Hi Sarah and thanks for getting in touch with us. We’re sorry to hear that you’re having this sticky experience. As a personal suggestion, I’d recommend storing them in a cool place (not too cold, but “cool”) as the warmer the conditions, the softer and stickier they become. Take care, Justine, Nature’s Path Team

Hello, I don’t usually leave

Hello, I don’t usually leave customer reviews, but I absolutely love these bars (though I must also admit, I too find it a tad sweet). I’m allergic to all fruits in all forms and have low blood sugar, so was looking for a tasty, healthy, everyday granola bar. The hardest part of that search is that I currently live in Shanghai, China!! I first found these (seriously marked up) bars at a foreign grocery shop near my office, but they stopped stocking it last year. Luckily, my Hong Kong based-family found a super devoted, friendly organic food store there that stocks a number of Nature’s Path products, and I order boxes upon boxes of the bars in one go to last me for several months each time! Thanks very much - it’s hard to find tasty, fruit-free AND healthy granola bars!

Hi Andrea and thanks for

Hi Andrea and thanks for sharing your feedback with us. We’re delighted that you found these bars! What a story too of how you found them - we appreciate all the work you go through to get them each time. Please keep on enjoying! Take care, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

This stuff is great. I agree

This stuff is great. I agree that it's a bit sweet but I can't eat just one. I slammed 2 of them last night before I worked out. I felt a little guilty but hey, life's short. I also rub peanut butter on them sometimes. Ha ha I'm a fatty at heart.

Hi Trevor and thanks for

Hi Trevor and thanks for sharing your love of our granola bars! Adding peanut butter on top is a delicious suggestion— I must try it! And you’re right, you only live once. At least you’re making healthy decisions by choosing to eat organic! Take care, Justine, Nature’s Path Team

I wanted to give an update. I

I wanted to give an update. I purchased another box from my local Walmart and made sure the date was different from the other 2 boxes that I purchased. The other box indeed had a rancid oil taste/smell. These newer bars are VERY good. Great taste, no rancid oil smell or funny taste going on. The only complaint is they are very sugary and I swear these would be much better with half the sugar. Otherwise they are a very tasty snack. And I would purchase again.

Thanks so much for updating

Thanks so much for updating us Elizabeth. We are so glad that you tried this product again and see that it was that specific line. Please be sure to email a clear scan or photo of the expiry date flap to consumerservices@naturespath.com and Nicolette will look after you. All the best, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

I got these bars at my local

I got these bars at my local Walmart. I was so happy to see them there and got two boxes. The expiration date states they do not expire till Nov. 16, 2011. The smell of these bars is of rancid oil. I took a bite to see if my nose was play tricks on me and the taste was of rancid oil. My son’s did not like them either due to the oil issue. I am so sorry to say this but I will be returning the unopened box to the store. I was really hoping these would work for my family but I can get over that terrible taste/oder. Maybe I should try a box with a differnet expiration date in the future…

I believe that you may have

I believe that you may have had a production problem on the November expiration date. We also have a box of this product which is definetely rancid. I have been in food production for over 40 years and am familiar with the causes and results of rancidity. I would suggest that you consider a higher AOM oil to be used in this product since you are developing a history of rancidity. The higher AOM would prevent the oil from becoming rancid unless it was subjected to a very high temperature, which would be unlikely. If you require more information concerning this, please contact me at the email address shown above.

Thanks so much for reaching

Thanks so much for reaching out to us Jim! We will let our R&D team know about this so they can look into it. Please email Nicolette with a clear scan or photo of the expiry date flap to consumerservices@naturespath.com and she will be sure to reimburse you. All the best, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

I agree, I suggested palm oil

I agree, I suggested palm oil because I think it is the soybean oil. I would have that issue with soybean oil in general cooking and have since switched. Could it also be flaxseeds?

Hi Elizabeth and thanks so

Hi Elizabeth and thanks so much for getting in touch with us. We’re so sorry you experienced this! This product contains flax seeds and when flax seeds are heated (depending on the shipping etc. of the product), they tend to go rancid, and like you say, the smell isn’t too nice. As per our quality guarantee, please email a clear scan or photo of the expiry date flap to Nicolette at consumerservices@naturespath.com and she will be sure to look after you. Take care Elizabeth, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

I absolutely loved these!

I absolutely loved these! The texture was chewy but with a little crisp to it, and they weren’t overly sweet or overly pumpkin-y.

Thanks for your delightful comment Catherine! I couldn’t agree with you more. All the best, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

I was wondering if thes bars

I was wondering if thes bars were gluten/wheat free?

Hi Michelle and thanks for

Hi Michelle and thanks for taking the time to reach out to us. These bars are not considered gluten free because they contain oats. Oats are usually grown close to wheat so there is a chance of cross contamination there or even during the milling process. Nature’s Path does have approximately 28 gluten free products. I tried this bar for the

I tried this bar for the first time 2 nights ago - I immediately started a sneezing fit and my neck got itchy and then my eyes got itchy. I did go away after about 30 minutes - have you ever heard of this happening to anyone else? I was wondering which ingredient might cause this since most of the ingredients seem to be common ones - Is there anything unique about these bars?

Thanks so much for reaching

Thanks so much for reaching out to us Margaritt. We’re sincerely sorry that this happened to you. Please email a scan or photo of the expiry date flap to Nicolette in Consumer Services at consumerservices@naturespath.com. How much flax is in each bar?

How much flax is in each bar?

Hi Scott! It’s great you’re

Hi Scott! It’s great you’re taking an interest in your health! These bars contain 3-4% organic flax in each bar. Take care, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

I am so excited that Costco

I am so excited that Costco carries these bars (in a variety box along with MMMaple Pecan). I have to admit that I have never tried Nature’s Path products. I was looking for something as a tasty “treat” with Omega-3s. I still cannot believe how delicious the Pumpkin-N-Spice bars are. The rest of my family favors the MMMaple Pecan bars. You know what that means? More Pumpkin bars for me!!

Hi there Zoe and thank you

Hi there Zoe and thank you for sharing your comments. We are so glad to hear that you’re enjoying these bars. They are one of my favorites as well - so savor the fact that you can have them all to yourself! Take care, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

Terrific Janet! Thanks so

Terrific Janet! Thanks so much for your comment, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

Are the Pumpkin-N-Spice bars

Are the Pumpkin-N-Spice bars gluten free? I dont see wheat in the ingredients, but there is no ‘Gluten Free’ sign on the wrapper.

Cindy, while the bars do not

Cindy, while the bars do not contain wheat, they cannot be classed as certified gluten free because they contain oats. Only products that are certified gluten free bear the label you are referring to. For a full list of our gluten free products check out http://www.naturespath.com/eat-well/gluten-free-celiac-diet Kind regards, Kyla from Nature’s Path

Your description says these

Your description says these bars have raisins, but I know from eating them (and looking at the ingredient list) that they do not. This was a huge selling point for me as I cannot eat raisins. In fact, I wish more of your bars were raisin free!

Hi Elizabeth, I’ve had a look

Hi Elizabeth, I’ve had a look at the packaging and online descriptions and I cannot find any mention of raisins in this product. If you’d kindly let me know where you read the information, I will make sure that it’s amended. Thanks, Kyla from Nature’s Path
