I am vegan and its important

I am vegan and its important for me to know if your cereal is fortified with vitamin B12. The box does not disclose this information. Is the cereal fortified? If so, how much B12 does it contain?

Hi Susan and thanks for

Hi Susan and thanks for taking the time to ask us this question. Our cereal isn’t fortified with B12 because we don’t fortify our products on the whole. The reason being is that organic food companies are limited by government regulations as to fortification (a controversial topic) that in most cases involves adding synthetic substances to food - even if they are called minerals & vitamins. Also, fortification can be misleading as to the nutrient value of food because simply eating food that’s fortified doesn’t mean that your body is actually absorbing the listed nutrients. To add to that, many physicians today disagree with the premise that foodstuffs need supplementation. In the end, best thing to do is consult your healthcare provider for advice when planning your total day’s balanced diet. I hope this info helps you! All the best, Justine, Nature’s Path Team

I’ve been eating your cereal

I’ve been eating your cereal for some time. First the “Slim” product and now the Blueberry Cinnamon. I agree with so many others who have said there are so few blueberries! (For awhile I was adding my own freeze dried blueberries.) Now I just slice a banana and add that.

Optimum Blueberry Cinnamon

Optimum Blueberry Cinnamon Cereal is probably my favorite cereal I’ve tried to date! Healthy AND scrumptious. Only problem I have is that I’ve been pigging out on multiple bowls of it hehe. Bought a box last week, and it’s already half-way done! Must go back to the grocery store and get more!

Your products seem to have disappeared in the greater Chicagoland area, (especially on the south and southwest side). They are my favorite and miss them. I just tried this cereal for

I just tried this cereal for the first time - before I read all the comments. It has a different flavor but overall once I started to eat it..I began to enjoy it. Lots of protein which is nice - and needed for breakfast. There are many people commenting on the blueberry issue - the lack of blueberries in the big box. I was also very disappointed in the lack of blueberries - please do something about this - it is an obvious area of disappointment. Other than that - its a good cereal.

Congratulations to Nature’s Path…you’ve created a cereal out of corrugated cardboard! That’s what is tastes like - maybe with a bit of kibble thrown in to chew on. You need to soak it in milk for about 30 minutes before you try and eat it. Flavour? Forget it.

I have read other comments

I have read other comments about the low amount of berries in the boxes. I too have bought this cereal thinking I would find blueberries in my bowl. The first bowl I poured out had none, So I checked the box and found 10. You say that you are correcting the problem but that was over a year ago. I do not think I will buy this product until the problem is corrected. Maybe you could intergrate the berries into the flakes like they do with kellogs special K blue berries.

High in fibre, low carbs, top quality ingredients, full of flavor, and stays crunchy to the end. I hope you never stop making this product. Hi, I'm a big Nature's Path

Hi, I'm a big Nature's Path fan, but I'm disappointed to see the high sodium content of some of your cereals (Particularly this one and the Optimum Slim). Usually I can count on your products to deliver less sodium than other brands but 230 mg. for this cereal seems like a lot, especially when some of your other Optimum cereals have less than half of that. Why do some have so much more? I've never understood why cereal would need salt in the first place! Do you think you guys could work on lowering the sodium content by using an alternative like potassium or just eliminating it altogether? Thanks.

Thanks for taking the time to

I love this Cereal but I am about to stop eating it. Recently many studies are cropping up and the results state that Soy, including soy flour, is bad for you for many reasons. I would like a SOY FREE VERSION OF THIS CEREAL.

Hi Brian and thanks for

Hi Brian and thanks for sharing your concerns us to. Your comments are important to us, therefore, I have passed them on to our R&D team who will look into your suggestion further. There are many positive benefits to soy expecially for vegetarians who enjoy the protein that it provides. Soy foods also have many nutritional benefits. At the very least, it can replace less healthy foods that are high in saturated fat and cholesterol. Both the American Heart Association (AHA) and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) agree that soy foods contribute to a heart-healthy diet. Also, there’s a difference between organic and non-organic soy. Organic soy oil does not go through the destructive processes that non-organic soy goes through and organic soy flour and low fat soy products don’t include any solvents. All the best Brian, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

I just bought this cereal for the first time last week. While I really enjoy many other Nature’s Path cereals and I like the protein/fiber values in this particular one and the overall flavor, I was really disappointed in the quantity of blueberries in my box. There were seriously like 5, maybe 5. I had to hunt around through the box to even find them. For a cereal that has “blueberry” as the first word in its name, I feel a little misled.

Hi Melanie and thanks so much

Hi Melanie and thanks so much for sharing your feedback with us. Your comment is important to us, therefore, I have forwarded it to our Brand Manager. ugh … does anyone get a weird

ugh … does anyone get a weird fishy taste from this cereal? I found it not to have much cinnamon OR blueberry flavor, just a weird after taste.

Hi there and thanks for

Hi there and thanks for getting in touch with us. We’re so sorry you were disappointed in your purchase. There is flax in this cereal and when flax is exposed to air and warm temperatures for long periods of time the taste and even smell can be described as “fishy”. This means that the fats in the flax have oxidized and turned rancid which gives flax products a shorter shelf life. Your flax cereals should be stored in a cool, dark area and bags/boxes should be closed very tightly. Also, most organic cereals have a shelf life of 1 to 2 months once they’re exposed to air. As per our quality guarantee, please email a scan or photo of the expiry date flap to Nicolette in Consumer Services at consumerservices@naturespath.com and she will be sure to make things right! All the best, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

Hi I just bought this cereal

Hi I just bought this cereal hopping to eat some healthy cereal in my breakfast, and it may be able to fill that void. The problem is that I have metabollic disorder, and I can’t have too much sugar added to the food. Is the 9g sugar content coming from adding or is it from the blueberry???This makes a huge difference from me, since sugar coming from fruits I’m allowed to eat.

Thanks so much for taking the

Thanks so much for taking the time to get in touch with us Silvia! The sugar content of this cereal includes the organic evaporated cane juice and the organic freeze dried blueberries. I highly suggest you take this cereal to your medical practitioner to see how you can include it in your diet. As an alternative to organic evaporated cane juice (raw sugar), we also use organic sweeteners such as grape juice and/or pear juice, agave, pomegranate juice, and honey. I recommend trying our Fruit Juice Sweetened Cornflakes, Millet Rice Flakes, Agave Plus Granola, Honey’d Corn Flakes and Whole O’s, but as I mentioned above, be sure to take these to your medical practitioner to confirm they’re ok for you. Please let us know what you think of the product once you try it. All the best Silvia, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

Organic soy oil does not go through the destructive processes that non-organic soy goes through and organic soy flour and low fat soy products don’t include any solvents.

We meter the blueberries by weight through a vibratory feeder and because they’re so light, some boxes receive less than others. We are working to solve this problem so that all boxes have the same amount. As per our quality guarantee, please email a clear scan or photo of the expiry date flap to Nicolette in Consumer Services at consumerservices@naturespath.com. Thanks for taking the time to post your comment and no need to worry, you’re in a great area to share your ideas with us! We love to hear our consumers recommendations and requests so I have passed on your suggestion to the Brand Manager. We do have an Acai Apple Granola that you might like to give a try as well. Please let us know how you like it. Take care, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

ugh … does anyone get a weird fishy taste from this cereal?
