Our staff picks for holiday gifts!
Most of our staff made the "Nice List" this year. The unnamed know who they are! Those that did wanted to share their favorite sustainably-minded holiday gifts that your loved one is sure to enjoy.
- iPhone Case. Made of 100% Trash. You read that right. Trash. (Justin)
- A favorite for Dad’s around the world. Icebreaker ski socks have a traceable chain of custody (right back to the sheep) & are guaranteed to have your recipient’s feet dancing with joy! (Brent)
- It’s hard to believe that these super stylish and cozy mittens are made from the remnants of 3 reclaimed wool sweaters! (Jamie)

- Keep it clean with Dr Bronner’s soaps. Certified Organic and Fair Trade. The Peppermint scent is our favorite for a festive stocking stuffer. (Jessica)
- Give a donation in someone’s name to a forest or wildlife conservation fund. My grandmother did this during my childhood, I now have acres of forest planted in my name in Guatemala! (Emily)
- Cozy up by the fire with David Suzuki’s Green Guide & discover the most effective ways individuals can be more green in four key areas: home, travel, food, and consumerism. (Amitis)
- Make your favorite holiday cookie or treat and wrap it in craft paper dressed in beautiful ribbon. (Justine)
- You’re barking up the right tree if you give Eco-Tree Colored Pencils to an artistically-inclined child this holiday season. Made of real branches from sustainable Tamarind Trees. How fun is that? (Kyla)
- Keep warm with a conscience. This Puff-Ball from Patagonia is sooo warm and cozy that I even wear it to bed! But if that’s not convincing enough, the company’s Common Threads Initiative is sure to have you feeling good all year round. (Maria)
- I love anything and everything from Viva Terra inspired green living. Give a plant like rosemary tree to a hostess so we can cook and then plant for a gift that keeps giving! This bay leaf wreath from Viva Terra would be beautiful in a kitchen. (Emily)
